This website has been created to hopefully show that it is possible for amateur fisherman to produce results to rival the UK's leading specimen anglers. It will follow my part time efforts to target all the principal species in the UK to deliver specimens which are obtainable for anyone with sufficient drive and dedication.
I am going to be starting from a fairly low base in specimen angling terms, having spent most of of my recent fishing time, pike, match and general pleasure fishing. However, I have caught most species in the UK to a reasonable level across the uk for the past 25 years, which hopefully provides the experience and tools to fulfill the ambitions of this initiative by putting PB fish regularly on the bank.
I'll be recording my efforts on a blog to show the venues targetted; tactics used; highs and no doubt lots of failures and lows to hopefully entertain but also to inform and hopefuly inspire others to give it a go.
